REVIEW: This is FATA''s first album without lead screamer and frontman Benjamin Perri. The band''s known for the contrasting screams of Perri and clean vocals of drummer Francis Mark. But after the rather awkward and untimely departure (during the writing of this album), Francis stepped up to become a full-time frontman and take on double vocal duties. His competent clean vocals were a given, but many were skeptical of his ability to take Perri''s place as a screamer. The band took this as almost a challenge and came out with quite an interesting body of work.
The first track "Deth Kult Social Club" is immediately in your face screamo courtesy of Francis. It appears the bands detractors have been proven wrong. The band is almost a totally new band musically, the heavy parts are heavier and the hooks are bigger than ever with Francis doing all vocals and lyrics and the choruses seem to be more infectious than ever. This is classic FATA, taken to all extremes. There''s no ballads here, just in your face screamo with big clean choruses. Basically, if you were a fan of the band''s heaviest past work, you''ll love this.
